Indeed! We of course lack a true basement- though there is certainly storage, the mechanics of the house unfortunately made that quite impossible a feat, [he admits.]
We'll be ground bound for much of the year, but given the flood seasons... [Well. Tl;dr no basement. He waves for Speedwagon to follow though, letting Erina take point on most of the main floor for now. She had the most say on the little things, if he is honest, as for Jonathan all he'd really been able to think of was his manor.
Which, frankly, they would not have been able to even remotely pull off.] Well, no matter the case, I'm certain you'll enjoy what was created between us!
We chose to make it as comfortable for us and the breeding pokemon as possible. I'm really quite excited to see how we manage on. And no basement just means a roomier attic. I don't suspect it will be too full, but look here:
[Erina looped her arm in Speedwagon's and started them both down the hallway.] The parlour is a bit small, but Jonathan and I suspected we wouldn't be entertaining a whole army of people. Jolyne and Carly, more like as not. Occasionally Mr. Arlet, I'm sure, but it does have a nice view and quite cheering when one is having tea.
[She led the men into another room, much less formal (at least, by their standards) than the parlour.] We have a family room now, as well. For visits a bit longer in nature.
An attic can be quite useful, more so than a basement. And perhaps easier to maintain. [He... thinks. Really, it's probably for the best somewhere usually on water or flooded areas doesn't have a basement at any point of the year. But what does he know? Nothing. Most of nothing.
But he allows Erina to lead him, being a sneaky bastard that he is and stealing a quick kiss of her cheek and continuing on as if nothing happened. Sorry, guys, this is just how he is.]
Truly, a whole army would be... far more difficult to deal with in the first place. And I cannot think of many others that would be interested in visiting... [He trails off for a moment with a brief hum, running things over in his head.]
Visits a bit longer in nature...? [Save him, he's dumb.]
Well, in your case Speedwagon, we should hope that you come to see this as as much a home for you as for us- we certainly designed the bedrooms with that in mind, [he hums, smiling.] But with how much of our time here is defined by travel, a longer visitation is certainly something I expect a few to enjoy!
[Oh, oh right. He... had almost forgotten that particular aspect of it all and he's coughing to try and hide the red crawling to his cheeks and moving the brim of his hat to cover his face. It's fine, this is fine, let him be an idiot.
Thank you for giving him a way out.]
This place certainly does fancy travelling as a necessity, which is... interesting, given the lack of transportation methods otherwise unless you have access to the creatures that can do them and the authority to do so. [He'll never understand why you need "permission" to have a Pokemon do something it should be able to do naturally. Ridiculous!]
Unfortunately, my ward, left quite some time ago. I... assume back to his own world as the nature of this place seems wont to do from time to time. [AND DON'T CALL HIM OUT ON THE KITCHEN, ERINA, THAT'S RUDE!!!]
But I'm not barred from using it when you aren't in it, correct? [He knows how to cook things, thank you very much!!!!!]
Left? I'm so sorry, Speedwagon... [It's how they've lost a few people after all, so there isn't much to say to that. But, well.] In that case, we'll simply have a room for if they should ever return; or, should fate even change its path, someone else.
And I should certainly hope you aren't barred from the kitchen, if I'm allowed in it, [he adds with a laugh.] It might only be for simple matters, [like pokemon curry] but we both know that you're at least greater in skill than I!

Exactly. I did the very barest of decorating in your room and the one for your... [She pauses for a moment,] ward?
So that you would be able to choose your own embellishments. The kitchen is also very fine, but do not try to squawk me away from it, thank you.

Absolutely, you may use it. But the moment I hear you fuss, I will boot you out.
[It's said in half jest, at least.]
