Indeed- though I suspect the circumstances here may have forced the hands of more than a few, [Jonathan notes, frowning. Considering the attitudes of even the 'kind' people of Bavan, it would not surprise him if family-like bonds came between the monsters of this place over time.

[The door opens, and there are again two beds. Though there seems to be a shadow in the room, and as he looks up...

I... suppose that is very possible. [What does one do when your food source is humans and there are numbers of them in this place? Feed and forget they're human, he assumes, not that they need worry about that for a time longer. Hopefully they can find another way to sate their hungers instead of harassing and killing the poor people of this city.

It makes his stomach turn to knots the longer he thinks on it.

But onto the other bedroom and he's shifting past him to get a look at where he's starting and...

Agreed. [Oh lord. The more he looks the more things stand out. The netting 'bed' up above. The haphazzard construct that is the 'tent' up there, and-] Is that...Fur?

[The longer he looks at this, the more he's beginning to hate it and is slowly backing out of this room. No thank you, sir, he will completely forget this room exists, instead.]

He swallows, and closes the door.] Let us avoid this room, [he 'repeats', a sense of finality to it.] There...should be a washroom of sorts, yes? Let us see what facilities it has available here.

[He tries not to think too hard about the matter.]

Right, he can do that much for now. It can be... fixed later, months down the line, if ever at all. There's no reason to think about it during winter, at least.]

I doubt that washrooms would have changed much in such a time span, but I have been proven wrong thus far on numerous items...

It's most likely...over at this side at least, [He remarks distractedly, moving along the apartment to the next 'jutting end'. One door is opened and-] Ah, storage...

[What it says on the tin, really. A storage closet. He goes to the next door.] Then...oh.

Well! [Modern washrooms will Always astound him. Where he was used to a room more or less painted no differently from the rest of the house, the washroom had tile- it also had a massive bathtub, among other features. The dust of course struck this room as well- flicking a switch (and he would truly never get used to that), the lights illuminated all of it, a sad reminder of how long it had been since someone was here.

His footsteps leave marks in the dust, and he pauses at the bath tub itself.] ...Quite a lot of shampoo products...

[He tries not to think about the fur.]

[Perhaps it's best not to dwell on that room for long, even if he's filing it away in the back of his mind to go over later while alone. A better time to think than when they're on an active mission to investigate the other rooms.

Storage is useful, at least, even if they have very little to currently store. Perhaps in the future they can make this a sort of safe house and go from there. There's certainly enough room.

As for the washroom itself, he's honestly fairly amused at the size and just the sheer everything about it.]

Useful, should we need them. I know I have a lot more hair than you do. [There's a hint of a joke there, but if he only knew it would continue to get worse later in the future, then he'd certainly have more appreciation towards all of the shampoos being here.

[It's easy to joke about the little things for now, even if it's hard to ignore the scale of everything. There's a reason for these things, he can't help but remind himself. He remembers how large Tsukikage was when he first met the other. He remembers the varied appearances other monsters have taken, and from there it's not difficult to realize just why a bathtub might be so large, and just why a stock of shampoo may be so heavy.

It's unspoken, but it's there, impossible to ignore even as he tries to join in on the joke.] I certainly can't disagree with you there Speedwagon- hopefully we can make use of this product rather than it going to waste. Though if it's been here for some time, it may have expired...

[At least these things- as discovered thanks to whatever the hostels had on hand- have such information on their packaging now. He'll look for that now, in fact.]

[Ah right, he had forgotten that shampoo expires. And that he's trying to ignore everything else around them to make some normalcy out of this whole thing, it's better than having to come to terms with the potential alternative. It's a mess, he knows well enough.

But there's some mirth and merriment of a sort here and he'll take what he can get right now.]

I forget those things expire, honestly. I can't recall the last time I had one long enough for it to go bad. [Not wrong, really, he does have a ridiculous amount of hair and he always has as far as he can recall.]

I should say the same thing- I can only imagine how long it must take to go through a bottle of this scale, [He chuckles further, a background thought slowly reminding him about the fur from the prior bedroom again. It would take a lot more shampoo if it were all over.

Best not to think of that however.] It does look as though we have a bit of time at least with this, so we're in luck!

I highly doubt this room and that storage closet could take up the entirety of this end of the apartment however...I wonder what could be taking up the rest of the space?

I would suppose it depends on the amount of hair you have, some of the monsters here seem to be covered in it, after all. [Or so he's seen in the pamphlets, but that's not a story he's about to tell Jonathan right now.]

One less thing we'll need to invest in for a while... And, ah.

[He's already out that door and going to search out what else is on this end, sorry, Jonathan. Do try to keep up with him when he's on a mission. Not that it's hard to with that giant gait.]

Right, [he answers half idly, opting not to think much more on that.

Instead, he follows Speedwagon out the door with his eyes, before jogging a bit after him.] With all that's in here, it seems there's very little to invest in over all beyond some reconstruction...did Tsukikage give us a rent fee at all?

Waved off? [That...] ...That's more than just generous then, [he ultimately says, the surprise on his face hidden entirely by the fact that Speedwagon's eyes are ahead. As it is he's going to find a nice haul in the form of a laundry room...and a disturbingly filled storage closet.

That does explain where the supplies for those endeavors downstairs came from, though it seems like a good chunk of it is also utilities; the apartment level maintains itself, evidently.

Sadly that chunk is no doubt flying over their heads beyond the basics.] ...Just what is all of this..?

He's quite the generous sort, from what I've gathered. [Perhaps that's the reason this absolute moron is head over heels for him, not that he's going to dare say that in front of Jonathan any time soon. Until he inevitably slips up.]

That and there's a lot of work to be done, I assume, so a lot of effort would have to go into it, anyway.

[Not necessarily wrong, but he's investigating this laundry room first and only peeking his head back out to see what Jonathan's on about once he hears him.]

Suffice to say, he suspects..........................nothing yet.

Yet.] Perhaps our staying here is a benefit in itself then- if we bring any repairs to the building, it could mean others can rent from him in the future.

Jonathan opens one of the large metal cube-buckets and blinks.]

...There's clothing in here.

I... suppose that would make sense as well. [Not that they really know much about repair or construction, but it can't be that difficult, right?

... Clothing? I suppose not entirely odd, given people had lived here at some point. [But what kind of clothing is it, Jonathan? Honestly, that's the real question of the matter, isn't it?]

Hmmmm. [It's normal clothing. Sort of musty, all dry....Jonathan narrows his eyes however, and looks around the main area of the room they're in. The laundry room- not that he recognizes it as such- is largely clear aside from the machines, a large sink, and a number of tools and supplies stored at the side.

A box catches his eye, and in a smooth motion he's got it in his hand and flipped it over to read.

Jonathan frowns at the box, and then at the machine, before slowly pointing at it.] Can you...check for a small compartment at the top of one of those?

[If this is real he's going to lose his Mind, woah,]

[What the hell, Jonathan? He's blinking slowly as he watches him go throughout this whole... process. He's not entirely sure what's going on, other than he's reading something that looks like a box and he'll just wait.

Until he's asking him to check something and he's just going to see what's up on these.

Oh, oh it's a lid. And it's opening.]

Huh. [And he's peering inside of it, like the idiot he is.]

What on Earth is this?

[The box is deposited in front of both Speedwagon and the compartment.]

Speedwagon.

[He sounds........................excited.]

They've invented washing machines.

[He's never actually had to deal with that, but suffice to say he's already felt a little ashamed to be relying 100% on Speedwagon for things like cooking. Maybe this will mean he can properly help out with housework immediately, rather than following about like a hindrance.

As it is the box's soap instructions made it pretty clear.]

[What is this box? He's going to take it immediately and start reading it over before that little bomb shell is dropped on him and he's pausing.]

Washing machines? [That... that is not what he expected. He'd assumed there'd be laundresses around here somewhere that they'd have to take clothing to. Or figure it out themselves, which he understood the basics of, at the very least.

But this box. These instructions. This machine...

He's setting it down again and leaning over the edge of the machine to look further into it and every single little knob and mechanical bit he can.]

How absolutely fascinating! [Of course he would.]

If the soap instructions were any sign...they seem to have differing 'settings' for certain fabrics and colours...

[Thank god he skimmed that from the box first though because wow he's never getting that back.]

Do you suppose the machine beside it is for drying?

[It's just fantastic enough that it Must Be Real.]

[He'll get it back, come on! He's more interested in examining the machines now properly, anyway, than that damned box.]

That would be the case, this dial on here indicates much the same. And... I would assume so? [Give him a moment to examine the dryer as well.]

Ah, yes! Another similar bunch of settings on it, so I would think that assumption correct!

[He's way too excited about this.]

This should make things far easier at least...I had no idea where to even begin on the matter of laundering, [he admits with a small laugh, looking about the rest of the room.] With any luck, we should hopefully be able to find some sort of manual for these things in here- some set of instructions we can rely on while we adjust.
